CALM (the Campaign Against Living Miserably) have announced the launch of a new book - "The CALM Campaign On Merseyside: Ten Years Young". Written by Fiona Shaw, the award-winning copywriter and publisher, the book showcases the innovative and trailblazing work of the CALM campaign, from it's inception in 2000 through it's first 10 years and beyond.
Featuring images and quotes from local and national supporters, musicians, DJ's, sportsmen and creatives, as well as documenting the many dynamic, hard hitting, beautifully designed and cutting edge campaigns that CALM has rolled out across the Merseyside region, this is a great opportunity to celebrate the many achievements CALM has made on Merseyside, inspiring others and laying the foundation for the recently launched London CALMzone. The campaign against living miserably (CALM) was set up on Merseyside to reduce the high suicide rate amongst men under 35, currently the single biggest killer of young men in the UK. It is a campaign and charity set up for and on behalf of young men. CALM promotes and delivers a free, confidential, anonymous helpline and website targeted at all young men, but they will offer advice or support, regardless of age, gender or geographic location.
