Liverpool Sound City continues its support for new talent by bringing the UK Music Student Awards to the Echo Arena on 17th May. The national event will be hosted by BBC Radio 1's Edith Bowman.
Launched by George Martin, the awards come to Liverpool in collaboration with Access To Music, whose programme gives the stars of tomorrow an amazing opportunity to shine today with recognition direct from the music industry.
For 8 years this unique event has celebrated, identified and supported new talent within music education including Ed Sheeran and affirms Access To Music's position as the link between the industry and music education.
Sound City CEO Dave Pichilingi says: "We're taking Sound City to a whole new level this year by bringing in Access To Music and co-hosting the UK Music Student Awards, which shows our commitment to the new breed of musicians and those who work in the music industry, as well as being a great excuse for a party."
