Tulisa and Fazer down, Dappy wasn't left completely lonesome on Tour as he brought an array of stars, or should we make that rockstars, along to open up the show for him. Each delivering a set fitting of the headline slot itself. Our Sammy Pollock went down to the O2 Academy
Benny Banks opened up the show and earned his place as one of the UK's most talented rap artists with a powerful barrage of energy, even his hardest hitting lyrics had the sold out crowd deafened by girly screams and cheers of approval from the inspired boys.
The next artist out lead to the type of noise you would expect to hear if you gathered together a group of teenage girls and announced Justin Bieber had a ring for each of them, and that's before his jacket came off.
PW is a fresh new artist who is often likened to Chipmunk, only fitting that the man himself was in attendance as PW delivered a set that could cement his takeover as the new teenage favourite. With polite, chart friendly music that still manages to appeal to the most discerning of credible hip hop fans, he transformed Liverpool's O2 Academy into a bopping sea of teenagers, 'Winner' showing he's going to be just that. With an effortless stage presence that you would only demand from the most experienced of artists, PW showcased a rare natural talent, firmly establishing himself as the future face of UK music. The only moment of disappointment for the crowd came when he stopped the stripping off at his jacket, every female in the room uniting to chant 'take it off' failed to peel off his T-shirt, but a cheeky smile and incredible performance of 'Not Thinking About You' later and all was forgiven. Step in Fearless.Fearless had no qualms about adhering to the requests of the ladies, but this wasn't the only thing that caught your attention. Having heard him featuring on Tinie Tempah, N-Dubz and Ultra tracks to name a few, Fearless powered through his set confirming his status as a reputable leading artist. Hand him a mic, throw in an audience that are to be left in awe, and he really is 'Unstoppable'.

COVER DRIVE (pic: Adam Edwards)
It was already feeling like auditions for the headline slot at any of the summer's festivals, and then Cover Drive bounced out as the final support act and seemingly transported the gig beach side. With a Bajan blend of 'Carib-pop' the group provided a refreshing injection of lighter fun, brightening the room with their infectious island sounds. As they shimmied through some new material, even all us two left footers couldn't help but throw in a subtle move here or there, especially during their irresistible new single 'Twilight'. With each member complimenting the others perfectly, it was clear to see the passion and excitement in the band, the united front spreading to the audience as the room joined in to complete the lively set with Cover Drive's huge hit 'Lick Ya Down'.
The man infamous for his headwear chose to keep his hood up for the majority of his set, a pair of dark shades completing his sulky disengaged look, one can only presume he lost the football match he had been playing pre-show. He never let this ruin the show though as he proceeded to work his way through some of N-Dubz' greatest hits. With an odd timing for his debut solo tour, Dappy's solo material was rather limited but when it did pop up, albeit few and far between, he was able to showcase a real ability, as evident during 'Rockstar'. His capabilities as an individual really shone through during the emphatic 'No Regrets', witnessing the rapping sensation sing his way through a song leant further weight to the idea that Dappy is doing more than a good job of making it as a solo artist whilst N-Dubz take a break.
