HMS Liverpool sails into the Mersey for final time

She’s the Royal Navy’s queen of the recent Libyan conflict and she’s now taking a farewell bow in her spiritual home after three decades’ sterling service. Type 42 destroyer HMS Liverpool will sail into the Mersey on Wednesday February 29 for a six-day visit allowing the people of her home city one final chance to see her before she is decommissioned later this year.

North Liverpool revealed as location for Sea Odyssey Titanic spectacular

North Liverpool will take centre stage for the city's biggest ever outdoor event this summer as the 30 ft Little Girl Giant will make her way through the area as part of the three day spectacular. Giant fever will hit Liverpool from 20-22 April as the world's leading street theatre company, Royal De Luxe (RDL), presents Sea Odyssey – a magical story of how the human spirit triumphs over the Titanic tragedy.

LFC star Craig Bellamy's foundation to feature in Sierra Leone documentary

Liverpool FC and Wales striker Craig Bellamy will feature in a major new television documentary which airs on ITV4 tonight (31st January) at 9pm, highlighting his pioneering charity work in Sierra Leone. The documentary will offer a unique insight into the footballer's charity foundation which aims to build a better future for the children of the troubled country with support from UNICEF.
