Crown Productions are looking for a star for this year’s Royal Court pantomime. An open audition will be held on Thurs 19th May for the title role in Snow White at the Royal Court Theatre. The producers are looking for a talented actress and singer between the ages of 17 and 21 to play the role.
All of the hopefuls are invited to the theatre for 10.30am on Thursday 19 May where they will be asked to sing a song of their choice, unaccompanied. All auditionees are asked to bring a short CV and a photograph with them. The theatre is expecting large numbers to attend but everybody will be seen on the day.
Producer/Director Jane Joseph will be at the audition with choreographer Beverley Norris Edmunds and cast members including Pete Price, legendary local comic Mickey Finn and Juice FM’s Leanne Campbell.
Jane Joseph is looking forward to unearthing a real talent: “Liverpool is packed with talented singers and I have no doubt that we will find a real star. To give a chance to an up and coming young songstress from Merseyside would be fantastic.''
The successful candidate will perform in the full run of the show throughout December and January at Royal Court Liverpool.
“We have always backed local actors and performers here at the Court and this pantomime will be packed with the best that the region has to offer. This audition will be a great way to find a new local star for the show.” KEVIN FEARON Royal Court Chief Executive
Snow White And The Seven Dwarves runs from 9 Dec 2011 to 8 Jan 2012 and tickets are available from £10
